Congrats are in order to Mark Henry, who has been on the biggest push of his career and was awarded the World Heavyweight title at this evening’s Night of Champions pay-per-view in Buffalo. Henry is a 15-year veteran of World Wrestling Entertainment and is also considered to be one of the longest running tenured performers on the roster. “The World’s Strongest Man” deserves this title win and recognition by WWE management, he rededicated himself this year by getting back into shape and had some impressive victories over Kane, The Big Show and Sheamus in recent months.

Behind the scenes Henry is also recognized as a consummate professional, a valuable employee who does not stir up any trouble backstage whether it be politics, the wellness policy or meeting the expectations of a grueling road schedule. The Hall of Pain has begun!

Floyd Mayweather knocked out Victor Ortiz just after Ortiz apologized to him for headbutting him. Check out the post fight interview with HBO Boxing’s Larry Merchant! Pretty Boy Floyd told Merchant “HBO needs to fire you, you don’t know sh+t about boxing! You ain’t sh+t!”

A change of plans as Carlos Condit steps in to face Georges St-Pierre at UFC 137.

In the evening’s main event, CM Punk defeated John Cena in a title vs. title match. Referee Triple H did not see Cena’s leg on the rope when Punk pinned him.  Regardless the decision was final and Punk went on to be crowned undisputed champion.

Then post match, out of no where WWE legend Kevin Nash aka Diesel made a return to the squared circle and power bombed CM Punk. The crowd went nuts for Nash, who made a one time appearance at this past January’s Royal Rumble and received the biggest pop there as well.

So with CM Punk laid out cold, Alberto Del Rio (who was expected to get the strap leading into the WWE’s Mexico fall tour) cashed his Money In The Bank contract and beat up a fallen Punk for his first WWE title!

This was a great finish to a poorly promoted pay-per-view.  Overall, all 6 matches were very good and everyone worked extremely hard on the card.

The Noguiera brothers will share center stage at UFC 119, in Indianapolis, Indiana on Saturday night, September 25th, 2010.

Brock Lesnar withstood the punching power of Shane Carwin to retain his UFC Heavyweight title with a  triangle arm choke in the second round.  Brock also earned $75,000 for his submission of the night on top of his $400,000 fight purse.

In the post fight press conference, Brock acknowledged his WWE roots for preparing him for his UFC career.  Stone Cold Steve Austin, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Jonnson, Jim Ross, Goldberg and long time friend Paul Heyman were all in attendance supporting Lesnar.

Rey Mysterio defeated Jack Swagger, the Big Show and CM Punk to claim his second World Heavyweight Championship.

After Sheamus won his second WWE Championship, the NXT Rookies even went after him.

Things get a little crazy around here, but we don’t want any footage to go to waste. Go back two weeks with Dana to UFC 114, and watch as he interacts with the celebs, the fans, and the fighters.
