Fresh off the press this morning comes the announcement that high flyer Evan Bourne has been suspended again, this being the 2nd time since in just over two plus months that this has happened. There’s a little bit of controversy to the story.

Just two days prior at a live WWE event, Bourne and tag team partner Kofi Kingston had to drop their world tag team titles. Most people thought that a house show title change was rare and sparked nostalgic memories. Little did the fans know that management ordered the title change to set up for Bourne to be off camera and serve his 60 day suspension.

Many reports say both he and higher tier performer R-Truth both failed drug tests with the company in October 2011, but Truth’s suspension was delayed because he was already advertised for a main event match at the 2011 Survivor Series. Truth ended up serving his time after the pay-per-view.

This seemed unfair for many who believe the mid-card star is being used as an example of someone in the company that will get punished regardless, whereas R-Truth was given preferential treatment.

How this ties to Bourne’s second suspension smoking the fake grass for a second time seems fishy. This report is still early, but was he set up by Triple H or higher brass? Was management mad that he used his Twitter account to vent his frustrations with WWE? Was he really smoking the fake weed again? Does he really have a drug problem? Or does other people in the company that are failing drug tests get away with it while mid-level talent get the short end of the stick? I guess we will have to find out more information as this story unfolds.

You can definitely count Evan Bourne out of a WrestleMania 28 pay day in Miami now.

“The Great One” is coming back to WWE home video. For the first time in almost 4 years, WWE home video will be releasing a new Dwayne Johnson project. Most of the footage will focus on his return to WWE in 2011 as well as highlights of his wrestling and movie career. The Epic Journey of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be in stores on DVD and Blu Ray on Tuesday, February 21st, 2012.

“The Truth Shall Set You Free”. If Evan Bourne can get suspended, then the same rules should apply to Ron Killings. Don’t get me wrong, R-Truth is an amazing heel, but this Wellness Policy has to be even across the board for everyone on the roster.  This explains why his tag team partner The Miz, gave him a beatdown to write him off the storylines from Raw.
