Jon and Kate Gosselin‘s 10-year marriage has ended.
And so has their TLC reality show. Sort of.
TLC announced on Tuesday that the show will be renamed Kate Plus Eight, beginning Nov. 2.

It will continue to focus on the lives of the young Gosselin twins, 8, and 5-year-old sextuplets but with a deeper focus on Kate’s role as a single mother.
“Given the recent changes in the family dynamics, it only makes sense for us to refresh and recalibrate the program to keep pace with the family,” TLC president Eileen O’Neill said in a statement. “The family has evolved and we are attempting to evolve with it; we feel that Kate’s journey really resonates with our viewers.”
She added that the network is in development on a Kate project for 2010.
Ratings for the show have been declining. Last week, the show dipped to a season-low of 1.7 million. (By comparison, the season 5 premiere in May attracted 9.8 million viewers.)
Lately, the two have given the impression that they want to branch out.
Kate, who guest hosted The View earlier this month, recently filmed a pilot for a daytime talk show with Paula Deen.
“I’ve been given the gift of gab, so why not use it?” she said at a women’s conference earlier this month.
